Father’s Day is more than just a day to buy a present. It’s a day to honour our fathers, grandfathers, step-dads and all men who act as a father figure. And with it being just around the corner (for those who forgot, it’s on Sunday the 17 June!) we’re sure a lot of you are wracking your brains wondering what to get! That’s why we have compiled a short list of possible gift ideas.
Football jersey
With the World Cup in the offing, a new football jersey of his favourite team coupled with a six-pack of Seybrew might be the ideal present!
Chef hat or apron (or both!)
Nothing says King of the grill like a manly apron. Make it more special by having it personalised!
A spa day
Seriously, moms are not the only ones who enjoy being pampered! A spa day with your dad can be very relaxing for him, and a great bonding experience for the both of you!
A fishing trip
Take your dad out on a fishing trip! It is one of the most relaxing ways to enjoy life on an island. This might be a great family activity as well.
Jewellery or new accessory
Does his wallet look a little worn out? Or you think that watch would look great on him? Get it! Father’s day only comes around once every year!
Make something!
Home-made gifts are just as nice, if not more special than store bought ones. Show your dad how special he is by making him something yourself. We’re sure he’ll appreciate the thought and the effort.
On top of these, add a practical gift… Sensitise him on his insurance needs. Let him know that he needs to protect himself from rainy days and against unforeseen circumstances. It works best when you link it with his occupation. For example, is your dad a contractor? Tell him to cover all aspect of his project with the Contractors-all-risk insurance. Is he a lawyer or a doctor? Tell him to protect his enterprise with the Professional Liability Insurance. Not sure which one is better suited for your dad? Tell him to come by our office and we would be happy to help him out!
