Make a list of your valuables including makes, models and serial numbers where it applies. Get insured! Despite taking preventive measures to protect your stuff, it may not always stop thieves. Purchasing a content insurance policy can help you prepare for the unexpected, as it may help replace your belongings if they are stolen or damaged.
If, despite your precautions you are still burgled, do not waste time. Report the theft as soon as you are aware that it has happened.
